I have this friend who is an amazing seamstress. She can whip up anything, alters patterns to make them how she wants them and can turn a scrap of material into great doll clothes. She does doll clothes and enjoys it (I know, she's crazy). So she, I mean Santa, made these great clothes for the doll Addison got for Christmas. Santa just could not see spending the kind of money on American Girl Doll clothes that they charge. So Santa hired her (she would only allow payment through babysitting and lunches, she's too nice) to make Addison's doll some clothes. We got together and picked out material and I helped her cut patterns. She was great to add details we hadn't talked about and made the clothes so very adorable. So I thought everyone should know about her. She didn't ask me to do this. In fact, I didn't ask her or tell her I was going to do this. But she trying to find a way to start selling her creations. She is very good and quite fast. So if you or anyone you know is looking for doll clothes to fit American Girl or any other 18 inch doll, I would highly recommend her. Contact me and I'll put you in touch with her. I don't know for sure what she would charge, but I can guarantee it is a better deal that American Girl and much more personal and unique. Anyway, this has been my shameless plug!

She made this sundress out of a scrap and the top is ribbon. The headband matches the pink polka dot bottom. The t-shirt underneath was also made by her.

I was surprised with the cute slippers that match the nightgown. They are kind of hard to see, I should of put them further away from the gown so they would stand out.

I was also surprised with the cute yellow ribbon around the first dress. She had some leftover from something and decided to add it on. The arms on the blue dress are the same length, although the picture looks otherwise. It must have been caught in itself.

You can't really see that the black shirt and the skirt also have a bow at the top of each. Both parts of the jumper are corduroy and SO cute!

The headband is made of the same small flower material that is on the bottom and pockets of the skirt.

I cut the pattern for these jeans out of a pair from the DI, using the bottom of the real jeans for the bottom of the doll jeans.

Again, she took artistic liberty to add the cute pink edging around the vest and the ribbon on the shirt.
Seriously, she does a great job. It made me want to have an American Girl doll so I could have fun with all the great clothes she sews!
