Happy Birthday Addison!

Yesterday was Addison's 7th birthday. I can't believe how old she feels to me and how time fly's. She has been such a joy to our family. I can hardly believe she was my little preemie and now she is my grown up seven year old. I let my girls pick what kind of cake they want me to make and this year Addison chose an ice skate. It looks a little cartoonish, but her it is! She was happy with it so that's all that counts I guess.

We celebrated with grandparents (even one great-grandma there in the background), aunts, uncles and cousins. We are grateful that our families are close by and very happy about the recent return of Susie and her family and Ian's last year!

A couple of weeks ago Addison finally learned how to ride her bike without the training wheels. She picked it up immediately and that made me feel bad that we hadn't taught her a while ago. She requested a new bike for her birthday because the other was getting a bit small for her. She was thrilled with the new birthday present. I think Addison had a very fun birthday, even her teacher made it special for her!

I can't believe she is 7 already! That means Jake is 7 soon! Weird. Good birthday present. Jake has been riding his same bike for about three years now and it is way to small for him. Guess that is what he gets for his b-day too. Cute cake.

Yeah, I can't believe she is 7 either!! And way to go on the cake! The skate request made me chuckle. Was that a random request or does she really like ice-skating?

Actually, she really does like ice skating. She has had lessons, we took the summer off, but she is wanting them to start again.
