I hope you all had a fun Halloween!

We had an extremely fun Halloween season. The weekend before Halloween we attended a “witch’s night out” at Gardener Village in Draper. They have really fun witches spread throughout their shops. We went on a witch hunt finding 10 specific witches. The girls absolutely loved it and were devastated when we missed one. But the place was packed with witches for the “witch’s night out” and therefore the prop witches were a bit difficult to find.

This is the first year that either one of my girls would actually stick their hand in their pumpkin to clean it out. Putting their hands through the slimy insides ended up being the highlight this year. They both couldn’t get enough of the cool, slimy pumpkin innards!

They each designed their jack-o-lantern faces and then Bry and I carved them. They were both very specific about what the face should look like. They had been practicing faces on scraps of paper for a few days. Emian wanted a Dracula (although it looks rather friendly!) and Addison went traditional! (Thought I might mention that Em is trying to look like her pumpkin, she doesn't have eye problems.)

Anyone who knows Emian would have guessed that she, of course, had chosen to be a pirate (fireman was a close second and already being planned for next year).

And Addison went (yet again) tradition and decided to be a witch for the second time in her short 7 years!

Halloween night finally arrived and the girls couldn’t wait to get out and trick-or-treat. Emian didn’t last very long at all. She announced that she was “tired of this trick-or-treating”. She has decided that she does not like the process. This surprises me due to the fact that she loves her candy and jumps at any opportunity to have it. Not too long after she asked me to take her home.

Emian’s candy is a combination of her Halloween night work as well as a trip to Daddy’s office at lunch time. I thought for sure she would be jealous when she caught sight of Addison’s loot. Emian is the sugar lover of the two. To my surprise, she didn’t make one comment about the difference in the amounts of candy they had each collected. She was just happy to see Addison finally return (about and hour and a half after Em and I came home).

My girls really enjoyed themselves and I enjoy the thought of the sneaky moment I get to start throwing candy away!
Now on to the next great holiday!

Lov the pictures! I was looking at the first one of you and the girls and I kind of laughed to myself because...you have a purse! I don't ever remember you being a purse kind of girl! It is a cute purse! I love ya!!
I'm jealous that Heather will be up there. I was thinking this morning that we really need to have a "girls weekend". I don't think all of us have been together since...ummmm...I can't remember when. Maybe after the first of the year. Think about it!
