The Count Down Begins...

In a previous blog I mentioned the countdown/advent calendar I do for the girls. Here is a visual so it might make a little more sense. Each envelope is numbered for the day and inside is some kind of activity. The girls get very excited each morning as we head to the basement and cut an envelope from the chain. So far we've gone to a neighborhood Sub for Santa party, read three new Christmas books, visited a very festive house full of lights set to music, visited Santa, made a nativity for each of the girls and tonight we visit This is the Place Heritage Park's Candlelight Christmas. The first week of December has been full of fun and I am very excited for a few of the future events we've got coming up. Next Saturday, we are going to go see the Nutcracker. I think the girls are really going to love that one. Anyway, I'll post pictures of some of the fun stuff we will do in the coming weeks!
