After Thanksgiving Fun!

It has been our tradition to make the trek to Star Valley, Wyoming the day after Thanksgiving to spend the weekend at the Wheeler cabin. The girls get very excited and truly look forward to the experience. It has also been our tradition to cut down a Christmas tree and haul it home. Who can resist when the permits are $5, and you're doing the forest service a favor-especially when you choose one from and aspen stand as the conifers are taking over the aspen stands. (OK, so ours was very near, but not actually in an aspen stand!) To every one's dismay, there wasn't much snow to play in for the weekend, although it did make finding a tree a bit easier this year!
These are all but two (the 2 youngest were asleep) of the cousins from Bryan's side enjoying mouths full of brownie!

If it was a bit colder, we may have had a problem with Addison's tongue tricks.

This is the lucky tree that came home atop our Explorer and now resides in the basement!

We had a great weekend and can't wait for Christmas to be here!
