Our trip was 10 days of adventure. We spent the first day in Portland due to an 8 hour wait for our next flight. So we took advantage of their great public transportation and explored Portland for the day. Once in Hawaii Emian and I got stung by blue bubbles (and Joseph too). Poor Emian had bouts with a stomach bug (and Joseph too) but dealt with it like a trooper and still managed to have a good time (she's not a pro at losing her stomach like Addison). Addison got pink eye (which for the first few days we assumed she had sunburned eyes, then she started waking with her eyes glued shut). Last but not least, our flight out of Honolulu was delayed six hours. We were supposed to leave at 9:30 p.m. and didn't leave until after 3 a.m. My girls slept most of the time, Addison quite sick and Emian quite tired. It is nice to see the good side of humanity in situations like these. I had many offers of help with my dead to the world kids, booster seats and bags. So my girls slept about six hours at the airport and Emian another 5 on the flight home. We went 16 hours between meals and missed our beds!
We spent most days at one beach or another. We got hooked up with free Polynesian Cultural Center tickets (a BIG thanks to Alan's dad!). But most important, we were able to watch Joseph be baptized. It is so hard to believe that the triplets (as Grammy likes to call Joseph, Hattie and Addison) have reached the tender age of 8. We are so proud of Joseph and his choice to be baptized and confirmed. Addison is looking forward to her opportunity in the next couple of weeks. And we are ecstatic that the Keils get to be here for Addison's baptism!

Thank you Keils for putting us up in your house and letting us into your lives for a week and a half. We had a great time and treasure our memories!
