Birthday time has come again! Addison was very excited to celebrate her 8th birthday with a spa party. She invited 8 of her good friends to come relax at the "Wheeler Day Spa"

We started the spa "experience" with refreshments. The girls had fruit, cheese and crackers, zucchini
chocolate chip muffins, punch and butterfly cupcakes.

I think we could have filled the whole time with just eating. The girls didn't seem to want to quit. Addison made everyone a
place card so there would be no fighting over who was going to sit where, the queen bee assigned everyone ahead of time (this time Addison is the queen bee, not me!).

After the girls were done eating they made bath salts to enjoy at home. The each chose a smell and the color and mixed them. After they poured them into their own jar and decorated the top of the jar.

From bath salts we moved to facials. Each girl was given a face wipe to wash their face and a headband to keep their hair away from their face. The facial was applied and they relaxed on the floor with cucumbers over their eyes.

Once they washed their facial off, we soaked their feet and applied foot scrub and did the same with their hands. Because we were running short on time they picked either their finger nails or toe nails to be painted.
Of course Addison couldn't wait to get to the presents! I wrote the
pre signed thank you notes as Addison opened her gifts because it seems so much easier than sending them out later. I just stuck them in their gift bag before they left!

This year Addison wanted a butterfly cake. I feel really bad because I did not manage my time well on her birthday. The cake didn't turn out anything like we had planned, but she was still happy with it and I guess that is what counts.

After her birthday party was over my family came to help her celebrate! We had one big day full of birthday fun!
