Back in February this is what my laundry room looked like. This is my Dirty Little Secret.
I'm ashamed to make this public, but here it is in all it's messy, piled, unorganized glory.
I just didn't have a great system to keep this room organized. When we moved in I had grand plans to use this room as a craft room as well. As you can see, the old dining table is buried. Yep, you guessed it, no one can craft in a room like this. I kept telling myself that someday we would put in cupboards with counter tops. I'd have a real, organized laundry room. With houses being never-ending projects it dawned on me...it will be a long time before my dream would become a reality.
So, I emptied this room (needless to say the family room couldn't be used for almost a week), took inventory, made trash and DI/give away piles and went to the beloved IKEA! My mess became organized. My old table became a work space. Crafting/projects could finally happen in this room!
My girls wanted to play in this space for the first few weeks. It was an addition to the home, a new room to be used. These "after" pictures were just taken, so the organization has faltered a bit. But I am quite happy with my Dirty Little Secret and only keep the door shut when the laundry is being done!
Now the cupboards and counter tops have fallen to the bottom of the never-ending house project list!

Wow! Can you come organize our storage room here for me please! I dread it and do not think I will even do it until we move. I just hate walking in there though! Good Job!
Turned out awesome for sure. So jealous of your crafting space (and organization!)
