Easter

We had a really great Easter! We started a week early with a party at Grammy's (my mom). The next week we had a party at Grandma's (Bryan's mom). Along the way we did some activities on our own. The girls always love coloring the Easter eggs. This year we decided to have the Easter bunny come a night early. So Saturday morning we had our family egg hunt and baskets. Easter Sunday was more focused on the Resurrection and we hit Grammy's yet again for dinner!

The night the Easter Bunny was to come, Addison approached us wanting to know the "truth" about the bunny situation. We tried pulling the "what do you think" card and she just kept saying, "I want to know the truth." She wouldn't give up and the truth part made me feel bad. The bunny is a bit of a silly tradition if you ask me, so we told her the truth. We made her promise not to talk to her friends and her sister about it because it is up to parents when they want their children to know. I was worried that Easter morning wouldn't be as exciting for her, but she acted just as thrilled as every other year. I've already told her the truth about the Tooth Fairy (another silly thing in my opinion) and she hasn't even lost any teeth. She's been asking about Santa since she was three (I have no hope for this Christmas). She is much too logical for this make believe non-sense. Emian will have to be sat down when she is 12 to be told the way things really are! None the less, we had a great holiday and Bryan even let me buy him an Easter outfit this year (he usually turns the option down)!
