Thanks to my little sister, Hailey, we took the girls (as well as Hailey and her friend) climbing on Saturday morning up Big Cottonwood Canyon. We had a great time. Emian is still very nervous about doing much. She'll get her harnass on and then get about a foot off the ground. She only gave it one go and decided that was enough. I had high hopes that she might be a little more adventerous than last year, but this was it! When we were back home, Emian said, "I am never climbing again. And Addison is not, you're not, and daddy is not going to ever do it again."
Emian ended up having fun in the river, entertaining herself while the rest of us climbed. She and Addison were covered head to toe in dirt by the time we were done!
Addison was very excited to get on the rock! She thoroughly enjoys it!
She kept wanting another turn. She easily got in more climbs than anyone. I guess she takes 1/3 the time on climbs that the rest of us do so it probably all evens out!
Poor Bryan is stuck belaying everyone. I refuse to belay him, so he hasn't climbed in a while. I have to say that I had a great time too! I was proud of myself at the end of this one only to find out it was rated lower than I thought (5.9). I thought it was a higher rating. Oh well, it was very enjoyable and extremely tiring!
This was our Saturday FUN!

Oh, I can't wait to go climbing with you guys! Then Bryan and Donovan can both climb. I can't wait for Ellie to give it a go, I really think she'll love it -- it seems like it's right up her alley. Woohoo...I can hardly wait!!
