Throwing Rocks...

Over the July 24th weekend we headed to the cabin in Star Valley, Wyoming. Over this weekend the favorite pass time was throwing rocks into rivers. My girls couldn't get enough of it. Day one of throwing rocks turned into a bath in the COLD mountain river. Day two, Addison wore a swim suit, but in the end opted to stay dry. She even let daddy carry her across the water (a necessity in a few spots).

Emian was very excited about the bones she found. Icky! She already had it in her hand, why not take a picture of it? Emian is our tom-boy for sure.

Round three or four of throwing rocks . We decided to try a new river on this day. Bad choice, mosquito bites galore (I stopped counting at 16 for me). The girls absolutely loved it. I spotted a snake which is rare for me, but common for Bryan. The girls had found a snake the day before in the yard of the cabin. They screamed and came running to tell us of their find. They love snakes and share a pet snake with their dad (well, technically two snakes--one escaped for the second time and is missing--hopefully for good this time!). I guess there is something freaky about finding them in the wild! It was a fun, rock throwing weekend!

That was a big bone -- do you know what it was from? It looked too big to be from a deer... I didn't know your snake escaped again! you're crazy, I would rather find it than think it was loose in the house somewhere!!

Heather, school starts on the 25 of August. When does it start for you?

Susan, I think it was a cow bone. There were deer bones right there too. Fortunately Emian had the sense not to touch them as they still had some yuck stuff still on them. Yes, our snake escaped again. If it is ever found (hopefully it has left the house this time) Bryan said we are getting rid of it!

Shannon, you better come and visit. I don't like snakes either. I walked on eggshells the first time it escaped. The second, I just accepted it.
