I didn't update yesterday because there wasn't any kitchen work, just new doors (which I am very excited about). But day 14 made a little progress. All my doors and drawer fronts are back, installed and handles on. Very happy about that! The granite people came and it was soon realized that some mistakes had been made. So two pieces got sent back to be re-fabricated. Doug (our contractor through Kitchens, Etc.) is very frustrated because he is now further behind schedule. There are very few things that can be done until the counter tops are finished. The owner of KE is extremely peeved at the granite guy (thank goodness we went with their recommendation rather than one we may have found on our own). Doug said he's never seen a mess up like they did with our tops and has never had to send a piece back, they do really great work and they seem to use them exclusively. As long as I don't have to deal with them and it is done right I'm not going to stress about it. But now we are looking at a finish day of Tuesday (then the floor people will come back). Some good news: our cook top is in and hopefully will be delivered tomorrow. (The cook top and some issues with our hood have been stressing me out, now resolved!) We are so close, I just want it to be done!
