I thought day 3 was dusty because I had no idea what days 4 & 5 would bring. DUST! Day 4 was mostly an electrical day. They had to get through our front wall which is at least three inches thick. I felt like and intruder in my home. We had our two electrical guys here plus Doug, the kitchen guy. Doug was phishing the gas line in the basement while Tony and Madison were working on the electrical. All three were up and down the stairs all day. Luckily Emian was invited to a friend's house and I didn't have to listen to her complain about the noise. I feel comfortable leaving my house only for short periods of time because there always seem to be questions I need to answer. Today (day 5) the electricians finished up and Doug moved a heating vent and the sink drain. We're having a farm sink put in and the current drain pipe was too high on the wall. The original plan was to move it down. Unfortunately he couldn't move it any lower because it is sitting on the bricks. He had to run a new drain from underneath. Thank goodness our storage room under the kitchen is unfinished. I think that has saved a lot of headaches over the past week. Monday is going to bring even more dust. The wood floor is being laid in the kitchen and then they will give it a once over with the sander. Next week will also bring cabinets and maybe even a start on the tile work!
